Feeling Kinda Blah...

...I guess this isn't gonna be a very heppy post, but i'm having an off day today.

I guess it started with a negative guest comment at work against what I said on The Jungle Cruise, but I have no idea what as everything I say is in the script, so that upset me, even although he actually upset me more about five minutes earlier during the ride, when HE insulted MY nationality!!
Then yesterday, the girl I was supposed to be travelling with after my Disney program ends, out of the blue changed her mind and and has decided to just go home as soon as we finish, totally screwing with my travel plans, so now I have no idea what I'm gonna do. I understand that maybe she hasn't got the money, but she could have at least sounded as if she was sorry or at least discussed it, but she didnt.
I'm also really homesick right now, but at least my parents are coming out to visit today, they should currently be on a plane, flying smewhere over the Atlantic only I wont get to see them until tomorrow which sucks as I have University until 3pm! Grrr!

Well, thats enough of my sadness, I just had to get it out. If only my mum were here right now so I could get a hug, then I would feel much better. Bring on tomorrow!!!

Dwayne Johnson was in the Magic Kingdom...

...And I didn't get to see him!
Unfortunately I was working on Wednesday, the day he was in the park and I couldn't find out where he was to go and stalk him. My friend saw him, as he ate at Cinderella's Royal Table and that's were she works. I was sooo jealous.

I wish it could have been John Cena, but there is still time to do more wrestler stalking, Im on a mission!

I may try and swap my days off so I can go to a TNA taping and then at last i'll get to see some wrestlers.

Kids...and the funny things they say!

So, I was at work last night and the night was going well. I had a boat full of guests and at the end of the cruise we had to wait a few minutes before we could actually get to the dock to unload guests, so, I was going through all of my filler material keeping the guest occupied until the ride ended. I did all the usual jokes about getting out of the boat safely, but it wasnt enough I still had time to fill, so...I started my disney jokes.

I asked, 'Why does Cinderalla never play soccer?'

Now, the actual answer to this joke is, 'Because she is always running away from the ball!'

Its cheesy I know, but the guests love it, this time however, just as I was about to give the answer a little boy, who couldnt have been any older than two, threw hs hand up in the air and said...

'I know, I know, It's because she isn't a boy!!'

Well that set the entire boat of laughing and left his poor mother mortified that her son had said that!!

Haha, I do love children!!

Fun Weekend

I always love my dsyd off, but Friday and yesterday are hight on my list...

...Friday morning Amy and I headed to Hollywood Studios and went on the new 'Toy Story Mania' attraction, its soo much fun! We also wandered around and saw character from 'Cars'. We then went to watch the Beauty and the Beast show which i thought was really good. Nothing like tha film but it was fun to watch, we then met up with Elle and Sarah and did the Backlot tour, before deciding to head over to the Blizzard Beach water park.
We had so much fun there, just relaxing on the lazy river or trying out some of the fantastic water slides, i had so much fun.

Saturday, Katy, Amy and I headed for a day out at Universal Studios. We started in Islands of Adventure and did all of the ridaes we possibly could there, coming across the site of the new Harry Potter 'Land' as you could say, which is opening in 2010. It looks impressive from what we could see, and it possibly means a trip back to Orlando in a couple of years!
We also headed over to the Universal side and did the Shrek 4D attraction and the Mummy, then we just wandered around before stopping for some food before we headed home after our exhausting day!

Oh so clumsy!

For those who know me, you'll probably already know i'm one of the clumsiest people you will ever meet.
I have been however, extremely lucky that since I arrived here in Florida over 3 months ago, i've been extremely lucky and have avoided any injury even although I have tripped and fallen over numreous times...

...Well last night my luck finally ran out and and last night I actually hurt myself. I was at work climbing out of a boat at the end of the night, when I lost my footing. I thought i'd managed to catch myself before I landed but I didnt, I managed to fall, scraping my shin, as I fell between the boat and the dock. It hurt like a b***h and I hate to complain but last night I had no choice. I scraped up my leg pretty bad, so my co-ordinator had to call an alpha unit (fancy work for first aid) to come clean up my leg. There wasnt any blood and I was lucky enough not to go in the river but i've been advised that it might be wise to get a tetanus shot, just incase I do got in the water and my leg gets infected. Fun huh?

Well, i'm about to head of to Health services to see about this tetanus shot, what a fun day i'll have before I have to go back to work for another fun day at Jungle!!

The Dark Knight...twice in 24 hours

That's right, since the film was released at 12.01am on Friday the 18th of July (yesterday) I've already seen it twice!!!
I saw it first at 12.01am as soon as it was released, then again at 11.30 pm, both times being absolutely awesome and I really do believe its one of the best films I have EVER seen...And not because it was Heath Ledger's last film or anything to do with the surrounding promotion, but because it was an all round brilliantly made and acted movie. Don't get me wrong, I love Heath Ledger and he is one of my favourite actors and he played the part soo well and he made The Joker into who he was in the film, but that not the only reason I loved it.
If you ask my friends from back home, I was already excited to see it, way back in January, before the news that Heath Ledger had even died.

So movie Review of The Dark Knight:

5 Stars, and I would highly recommend that everybody goes to see it!!!

3 Months...

...That's how long I managed to keep My Jungle Cruise skipper costume away from any cameras, but that's no longer as last night during my parade shift Harmoni went snap happy and got several pics of me...

...here I am with a couple of the guys from work...

The last one is from when I was working the July 4th Celebrations, hopefully I wont have to wear that costume again!
